Its inaugural flight included a departure from the East Coast of the U.S. on July 25, stops in Western Europe and the Middle East, and a return trip through international cargo hub Hong Kong to the U.S. on July 26. The aircraft is now on its second trip, headed through several cities including Shanghai, and will return to the U.S. on July 30. N487EV is the first of two new B747’s to enter the airline’s existing fleet. Soon to be in service will be N488EV, bringing the total EIA B747 fleet size to 12. The airline has routes through the Middle East and Asia, with its base at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
