| To perform carpentry functions and building repairs assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Department.
Essential Job Functions:
Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions.
Builds, repairs, and installs shipping crates, cradles, shoring, counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim using carpenters handtools and power tools.
Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
Performs cement work.
Experience:
Five years experience in all phases of carpentry preferred.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid drivers license required.
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education or equivalent training in carpentry required.
