| To perform carpentry functions and building repairs assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Department.
Essential Job Functions:
• Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions.
• Builds, repairs, and installs shipping crates, cradles, shoring, counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework and trim using carpenter’s handtools and power tools.
• Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
• Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
• Performs cement work.
Experience:
Five years experience in all phases of carpentry preferred.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid drivers license required.
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education or equivalent training in carpentry required.
