To provide overall development, direction and coordination of the maintenance departments to ensure airworthiness of aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the repair station.
Essential Job Functions:
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment: Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer.
Assists the President in formulation and administration of company and organizational policies and procedures including long-range goals and objectives.
Directs and coordinates functions of all maintenance departments ensuring that all work performed complies with applicable technical data, FAA regulations and EAC policies and procedures.
Possesses complete working knowledge of company Repair Station Procedures Manual and of Federal Aviation Regulations.
Reviews and analyzes activities, costs, operations, forecast information and other data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Overseas the assignment of personnel to ensure that the qualifications and training of the workforce performing maintenance at the repair station meet the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturers recommendations.
Maintains liaison with air carriers respecting applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, when work for air carriers is to be performed.
Coordinates with directors, managers and supervisors to determine manpower requirements, ground support equipment, tooling and equipment levels, rotable and consumable spares levels, and facilities.
Develops and recommends budget, authorizes expenditures, and approves budget and expenses of subordinates.
Monitors performance of subordinates. Provides prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Performs and reviews performance appraisals ensuring that they are administered effectively.
Ensures that a positive employee relations position is maintained promoting teamwork and cooperation. Ensures that the Companys management principles, policies, and programs are consistently practiced. Approves personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
Ensures optimum performance of the operations function. Implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state of the art practices.
Experience: Fifteen to twenty years experience in aircraft maintenance with ten years experience with wide body maintenance preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: A&P License required. Valid drivers license required.
Education/Training: Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training or experience required. |
