The Project Planner is responsible to the Director of Maintenance for the management of an assigned project budget.
Essential Job Functions:
The Project Planner will ensure that the work flow of the project is maintained in the most efficient manner to meet schedule. Also to ensure that the project is compliant with the Air Center’s FAA accepted Inspection Procedures Manual and other applicable regulatory agency guidelines.
1. Maintain forecasts, charts, graphs and other visual data relevant to the assigned project in coordination with the Project Manager.
2. Direct and coordinate manpower on shift by shift bases to ensure the work flow of the project.
3. Chair the daily turnover meetings in the control booth; clearly define the duties and responsibilities to the leads and Supervisors.
4. Ensure that a positive attitude exists between the various skills and promote teamwork.
5. Coordinate with the Materials group the tooling and material requirements forecast.
6. Develop and implement procedures and systems for efficient control of the work package.
7. Develop and recommend budgets and coordinate with assigned rep and the Project Manager acceptable budgets.
8. Coordinate the budget by Work Order for the various departments, not allowing the Work Orders to be overrun.
9. Coordinate with Production Control the various reports required for the leads and Supervisors assigned to the project.
10. Implement techniques to improve productivity, in crease efficiencies and cost cutting.
Experience: Minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience on commercial aircraft. Prefer experience in Planning/Scheduling work assignments. A&P License preferred.
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required
